Luthiers With Inventory

Great website.
I used to own FBB #030 which is a very similar body style but with typical J style electronics. #030 has a slightly chunkier neck, #090 is a thinner profile. The bodies are somewhat smaller, which is what I didn't like about #030 (at 6'5" small doesn't work for me ....)
But the tone of FBB's is always great (just ask anyone who has ever owned one
) so it's a sure bet that #090 is an *ss kicker, as well .....

By better off, I just meant you might have an easier time, i.e. you can look in a few consolidated spots rather than look at the inventory of a large list of luthiers.
And you would likely save some money.

I spotted that one and it seems like a good price compared to other Smiths. I'm looking for a 5er though
Some of the other basses on the LAG site are incredible but I cannot justify spending in the Jerzy Drozd range.
Fodera's got some NYC's in stock. They usually have some on their website. I think they may have a couple pre-owned basses too. I don't know if that would be in your price range though.
