Mac vs PC

PC's at home.

At work we run XP, pro. We don't go on malicious website and the computers stay on 100% of the time except for the occasional re-boot for software updates.

Home, Vista Ultimate 64 bit.

Zero problems on both.

But in all seriousness, I like my Windows machines. I've used Macs, Windows boxes, and Linux boxes extensively over the past 5 years or so, and I always keep going back to Windows. I've actually had more stability issues with my previous Macs than I've had on any of my Windows boxes.

I like them for different things. I used Windows all of my life and after getting fed up with my last laptop, I got a MacBook. Love it. But I still like PCs, as well.

While MS ticks me off (Vista, anyone), the price to performance ratio highly favors PC! All the people caught in the stone age that think Macs still outperform to such a monstrous degree are silly, IMO.

My home system runs XP with SP3. Prior to that it had SP2 for a long time. I have quite literally never had a major issue with that system. It runs great, is very fast, and never hiccups.

I'm beginning to think all you people with ongoing PC issues are just knuckleheads!

So therefore, PC with linux wins. You get the price point and sheer performance of PCs, and an operating system that is just as stable as Apple's but it's free.

I'm running PCs with Windows AND Linux. and I'm not dual booting. It's pretty awesome. I'm also considering picking up OSX and finding that hack to run it on non-Mac hardware, because it looks like a sharp OS. I couldn't see myself buying an actual Mac, though, because a) I like building my own systems to my exact specs, and b) the price to performance ratio is skewed heavily in favor of PCs.
