Made a bass for my son.

Any chance you could PM me the dimensions on this? My 7 year old got a bass for Christmas last year but is a bit intimidated by so many strings.

I bet he'd love a two stringer.

Absolutely. I can take some more detailed pics this evening and post them in this thread along with the dimensions/materials and more on how I built it. It is really quite crude. I would do something different for the pickup though ( half a P ), It works but its noisy and no longer a humbucker. OOH! Maybe a soapbar turned 90 degrees? Check back later this evening and I will have more info for you.

Sheesh, your kid manages to look way more bada** than I do when I play bass....
Props!

Tell me about it, I had to try and one up him with a dirty wig and a fake beard and still failed. He's quite a character and has more energy than a herd p****d off alpacas ( that is a lot of energy for those who don't know! ):hyper:
HAHA! Spleenface! Just noticed your name!

Add me to the list of people who think your work is awesome and if your son is that badass, I can make a fair guess at what dad's like.

Is he going to put stickers on it?

And don't let him sell it! 40 years from now he'd be on talkbass.com posting about how he used to have this two string bass his dad made for him, but he sold it and he wants to buy it back.
