I still can't afford an SVT, whether they are made here or in Lala-Land.
Them ***** is still too expensive.

Love my "Nampeg" SVT6. Hasn't let me down yet. Took it to my favorite tech and he said everything looked fine.
...only a fool would post in this thread.
SO here goes.
...
Exactly, Tim. I don't care if Ampeg ever updates anything else as long as they keep putting out the SVT-VR. However, the NEW Micro VR stack is getting rave reviews, plus Ampeg was always on the leading edge of hybrid construction, and their combos are way better than anything in their price ranges, so I don't get where this not updating their product line stuff comes from. Not every company needs to put out lightweight stuff in order to be competitive.
Putting how I feel about the move aside, my take on current Ampeg is that the product line itself needs to be updated.
There are just so many newer light weight amps and cabs that have more headroom and can handle more power than some of the current heavy Ampeg options; it makes sense to me to look elsewhere.
Duh! Anyone could see that last line coming down 5th Avenue well in advanceThere's one thing I consider when there a threads about bashing any brand : unsatisfied people yell and scream 1000 times more than satisfied customers...
I know, I work for a customer service business...
