Made this today

I just discovered this forum recently so I haven't figured how to do multi-quotes yet :hmm:

It is a Squier Affinity Jazz that I got about 2 months ago. I love this bass, it plays like it's worth 3 times the $179.00 I paid.

Lalo-it's not a transparent pickguard, it was a regular white pg, the picture is on the top, that is why I had to clear coat it to protect it. A transparent pg would be ok but the glue would be on the picture side and would probably blur it a little, but it may not idk.

I also went around the outside edge with clear nail polish to ensure that the picture doesn't lift, because I still want to play it after all.

Thanks for the great comments guys.
This pic should help show why I placed the picture that way. I chose this picture because this album changed my life about 30+ years ago.

That's cool as hell. When I was a kid I used to stare at that cover while listening to the album. I understand the life-changing thing you mention. The first 4 or 5 Sabbath albums are some of the finest in the history of rock 'n' roll in my opinion. Nice work!

Thanks. While searching for the picture I came across these two. Thought some of you may find it interesting. I hope to make it there someday.

The painters have an art studio across the street from the watermill. How cool is that :D

I am SO diggin the artwork pickguard... I've debated getting a clear guard, so that I can swap out the artwork when I want... Love it!

Personally wouldn't watch that mouse much less stick him on a bass :p

I'm a huge Keith Haring fan (the artist responsible for the whole piece) but I have to agree w/ James. I have kids, and whenever I hear that overgrown rat, I want to throw something at the TV :D

When I have time, I'll give everyone here my true rant on the evils of the disney corporation (which if memory serves me, was actually the inspiration for the Keith Haring piece to begin with). :spit:

wow,, good eye :)

thanks for recognizing Keith Haring's work, there's actually parts of 7 pieces of his work on the pg. it really has nothing to to with the Disney Corp., it's just a sample of very simplistic art, color, form, function, at it's very best

That's an interesting idea. There are some fantastic album covers that would work also. I'd like to hear what effect that album had on you and your music playing.

I was about 13 at the time when I first heard the album. I never heard anything so dark and a voice like Ozzy's, especially the song "Wicked World".
The whole album blew me away, I never really heard that kind of "jamming" by any other band. I thought the talent of these guys is mind boggling. To think that they recorded the whole album in about 8 hours is unbelievable.
I listened to the album everyday for about a year straight, then I eventually bought all the others when I could scrounge up enough money.(every Sabbath album including "Never Say Die" was already released by now 1978 but at this time Sabbath was never or very rarely played on the airwaves).

They made me 'love' music.
I like many different types of music but this genre will always be my favorite.
Geezer is just an amazing bassist, imho the best ever.
