I recently bought a Genzler Magellan 800 from a buddy. Played it in rehearsals for a few weeks; everything was fine.
First gig a few weeks ago, towards the end of a two-hour set, I noticed some volume issues. It didn't cut out, the volume just decreased kind of slowly and then just as slowly went back to normal. I'd say the low-volume lasted about 3 seconds, with a second or two of ramp up/down. It did that once or twice. On this gig I was playing a Fender American Deluxe Jazz V set to passive into the MG800 into a 4-ohm Ashdown 410. Plus a few pedals.
I hadn't used it much since then. At rehearsal last night, after about an hour, it did the same thing. This time, everything was different (except the bass). I was playing into a Mesa Subway 210 paralleled with a Mesa Subway 115. No pedals, and all the cables were different, too.
I'm a pretty hard player, but I had the input gain set very low, as I was clipping the input often.
I had the MG800 set to 4/8ohm both times. It sounds like a power issue to me. Anybody have any insight into this?
