Back to the OP -- In addition to the Biesele, there is another hum-cancelling, P-bass inspired pickup: Krivo

I just put a Krivo on my Merchant Vertical Bass. It sounds very similar to the Schaller; a little more output, maybe. I'm also running a Full Circle, so I have things pretty well covered.
