Mahogany or Koa?

It looks just like my late 80s Carvin koa. I'm the original owner, so, I know mine is koa. I'm about 98% sure that when I ordered mine, mahogany was not an option. I'm not even sure it was an option in the late 90s.

+1 I have a late 80's LB75, Maple neck with Koa sides, that look a lot like this. No mahogany available at the time. Its in storage, so I have no pics right now.

I actually made a little indentation in the wood where the Koa wings met the maple neck from my thumb resting.
