So, three years ago I ordered a short-scale P-bass (Harley Benton PB Shorty), strings, shielding foil and vinyl wrap for the pickguard. And took delivery of some tuners from a very generous Moonshine Guitars, kindly brought across the Atlantic by @Cowboy in Latvia. And I finally got round to doing the mod job! Below are start and finish photos. And there's a YouTube vid with more steps. The overall job was to vinyl wrap the pickguard, shielding, reshape the headstock and convert to 3+1 (didn't go to plan), and put in the new tuners. Not perfect. I'd add a bit back onto the headstock if I could. But I prefer it now to how it started, so I'm happy.
Nice project and it looks much better now. I like your headstock shape and the 3+1 tuner layout. The oversized headstock on the 7ender Jag I bought was one of the things I really hated about it, especially as my Samicks had a proportionate headstock. Plus they sounded and played better. The one with the PG looks about the same size as yours and the all black one is tiny, but they're both 30" scale (old pic). The red Hohner is a full 34" Woodberger.
