I think it's dishonest for an artist to try and 'remake' him/herself in the hopes of appealing to a younger audience. If they're serious about their art, its about growing and reflecting who they are and let their honesty and talent and passion sell records/seats. I also think plastic surgery for purely cosmetic reasons is stupid.
Then again, Motley Crue depended on there pop appeal to sell records, and honesty doesn't sell records. I guess I'm just being old-fashioned for demanding some strand of authenticity in my music.
