Mall Rant!!!!!!!

I was going to post a "I hate shopping for pants" thread 2 days ago.

The week before Christmas I bought a pair of Levis jeans in 31-30. Fit fine in the waist, but a bit baggy and a bit long... (I've had a 30 length for the past 20 years...)

I got 2 pairs of Levis for Christmas- both 31-30. They both were tight in the waist. So I went to exchange them. I was trying on different "models" 505, 555, 501... I got one set of 505s in 33-30 as there was only one pair in that size. But, I just bought a pair of 31s a week ago and am still wearing those jeans...

At my heaviest I wore 32s. I'm more than 15 pounds less than I was at my heaviest, but I'm now wearing an inch larger in the waist?????????????? And just in 505s?????????

I'm no twig- I'm vaguely in shape just shy of 160 at 5'8 and 38 years old.

Even Aussies have got the same problem, most jeans and shorts are for all skinny little legs, which is something i dont have. My waste size is 32, i have to get 34-36 just so that my thighs can fit through the leg parts. I really shouldnt have built my legs up so much at the gym :smug:

Jady, you have it easier than me! I wear a 40/36. When I'm tearing up the jeans section of a store with a big and tall dept., in a futile quest to find my size, I find 40/30s and 42/30s pretty regularly. I also find 36/36s or 36/34s often, too. But 40/36 is too "tall" for the regular section, and typically not "big" enough for the big and tall section.

I'm able to order pants online, but that ain't exactly a great method since getting a good fit is a crapshoot. I either need to lose weight or cut off 6 inches of my legs.:spit:

What the hell is going on in the clothing industry that if you arent a 31 you need to go to a "specialty store" for your clothes? (Most of the stores had primarily 31-34s, who are these sticks anyways?)

I am one of those sticks. I wear a 31 and 31 long. I can't find anything less than 36 in my part of town! (who are these fat a**'s anyways???:D)
I have to buy 32 long jeans and cut off the bottoms. I usually just order pants from the interwebs. I find the style i like in a store and the order them online.

If EVERYBODY cannot find the right sizes...then who are the stores selling pants to? hahaha!

Dude, that's my size too and I can't find jeans ANYWHERE that fit. That's 30 for the waist and 34 for length right? I'm tall and skinny and can't find any pants so...

...I don't wear pants.

Yup. 30 waist, 34 length. Usually I have to buy a 32 waist and torque it down with a belt, but sometimes I'll get lucky and find my actual size.

I find that factory outlets are really good for stocking just about every size, though (and at much nicer prices).

Do you have an Eddie Bauer store at your mall? You'd probably have pretty good luck there. I'm 40/32 and I've bought plenty of pants there during the last several years. I also have good luck at Macy's, I usually buy jeans there.

But I buy most of my clothes online these days -- Eddie Bauer, Lands End & J. Crew. It's so much easier.

i'm suprised by this i wear 32 x 30 inch pants mostly all i see are 40 x 30 or some crazy big waists. but i can't complain cause i usually find a pair or 2 in my size. but damn why do the legs on most jeans have to be so freaking wide thug looking or super emo tight. and low rider pants for guys? kill me now

They're kinda telling us to lose weight eh? Im trying!

Whether you're skinny or big or fat, JC Penney has a custom jeans maker on their website. put in all your measurements and in a few weeks you get an absolutely perfect pair of custom pants.

Sick cool.

Perfect taper to the ankle, nice fit on seat and crotch. It makes you want to get all your clothes custom made.

Well, I guess I am a mammoth...........

Even if I lost the extra 50 lbs I need to lose I would never be a 34. Even when I was at my worst with Meth in 98 or so I was only a 38 and I was sucked up pretty good..........

Off to the Pennys website I go!!!!!!!!! (right after I sharpen my tusks)

I haven't fit into a pair of 34s since I was 16! I'm surprised by how small some of the people here are. How can someone who wears size 32(or less) even play bass?

Until last year, very well thank you! I'm knocking on 40's door, and I think I've seen my last pair of 32s....although if I get back on my bike, I might....
