The ends of the screws on the legs for the wheels are looking like they are just biding their time looking for an unwary body part to come into range...

Yup, the screws it came with were too short and the ones the hardware store had in stock were too long. I’ll take a hacksaw to them when I get my first bloody ankle.

My wife took a travel nurse gig, so I have been playing a single parent most days. Oldest just joined softball, and even though they are in 4th grade the schedule is really packed. By the time the family day ends and the nightly chores are over I am wiped. On paper the schedule seemed simple enough, but like with most things, you don’t really know until you know. So most days the little shop is sadly vacant. No complaints though, this opportunity for my family is worth it.

BUT I do have a week off and my mother in law is taking two of the kids for several days, so I should be able to make some progress this week coming up. It will just be myself and the 4 year old. He has no social obligations and an early bedtime.

4 is a good time to start to use the power tools… just get him some tiny ear muffs.

I am ashamed to say it is exactly where I left off on the project shelf. My gosh have I let things get away from me, I had no idea this was sitting so long!! Once my kids got into sports it kind of took over my life, along with some expanded job duties. I will pull this off the shelf and see if I can get this thing working, thanks for the reminder!
