Maple fingerboards!

I can’t find a higher Rez photo, but I found a great piece of maple that I used on this bass. Love maple fingerboard!

@petrus61, that scheme matches up well, doesn't it? Very nice!

I’m always in a state of indecision about the pickguard. I’m thinking of going to a thinner ply (it’s currently standard .090 thickness right now, same as a normal three ply), or maybe even a regular B/W/B three ply for more of a 70’s look. I’m also considering white or mint, which probably wouldn’t be most folks first choice, but I think it can look cool sometimes .

I think it looks cool... black fret markers, black pickguard... some really nice shoes, and you will have completed the ensemble. You think you're confused? I want this one...

I'm somewhat the same about my PG's on my Jazzes. I keep a small stock of the Jazz PG's I like, so if I get the whim to change out a PG I have it.
