Maple fingerboards!

Maple fingerboards? Yes, I sort of like them.

Absolutely gorgeous!
Thanks. At the risk of exposing sacrilege, this is the original treatment of the headstock (body was similarly road worn, which I touched-up). I re-oriented the string retainer, adding one modified to help with the slightly misplaced G tuner. The 1/8" cove is something I apply to instruments I repair (usually for myself).
This one may be going to a new owner later this week. I discovered during a three-hour set that the 35" scale has its drawbacks for me.

NICE JAZZ! Lake Placid Blue, yes? I've always wanted a maple board with pearl(oid) inlays...what's it like? I'm so desperate I'm even thinking of getting those stick-on thingies, they've just GOT to be worthless. Anybody know? Thanks and AWESOME-looking bass, man!
It's an aged seafoam from MJT. The neck is a Geddy Lee USA signature model neck .the new fender original 70's jazz bass have the same look .It's an amazing neck!

I love the maple fingerboard on my Stambaugh

Is the pickup configuration on that fiver gonna be P+MM ? Can you tell me if/how the sound differs from a P+J config? Do you get close the same tone if you go P and 'double J'? Had a MIA Precision Deluxe with the double humbucker, weighed about 9 lbs, but sounded like 13-14! Loved it so much I traded it (***!!??), now I see it whenever I close my eyes at night [sob] and out of the corner of my eye all day [wallows in remorse and self-hatred].

It's going to be a Nordstrand P and Bigman combo. The Bigman is a pair of Big Singles in a MM shell.

It gets somewhat into MM territory but can also act like a PJ.
