Here we go again. Another misconception rears it's ugly head for the umpteenth time.

Sorry, I think I got out of bed on the wrong side this morning.

Well, despite others opinions or what side of the bed they got up on, the option to string the B string through the body is on the OP's bass for a reason.

I understand the whole sustain and tension theory with string through is subjective to other variables of the bass, obviously there's still folks around that find some value in this practice or it simply wouldn't be as prevalent as it is today.

That looks great! I'm digging the use of the burl, and the dark maple at the center of the back. The only thing I'd change would be to ditch the purpleheart nut. In my unasked-for opinion, it sticks out like a sore thumb and is very distracting.
