March 29th - Earth Day 2008

Am I going to do anything for Earth Day?

I drive a 4-Door Dodge Ram. I pull a 7X16 enclosed trailer with a drag bike in it packed with tools and parts. I also own a Jeep Grand Cherokee.

The only thing I plan to do remotely concerning Earth Day will be to turn my water sprinklers on my freshly planted grass. Oh yeah. The water not only germinates the seeds, it also activates the fertilizer and the pesticide.

I think I will leave the spot lights around my house on in honor of Earth Day. I may have to burn some leaves and yard debris while I'm at it. I might even purchase some aerosol cans.

I'll have to go drag racing to compensate.

Well, bully for you two.

But reminding everyone to do their part is his part.

I love how in this day and age we don't have to do anything to be involved. Darfur? Global warming? HIV? Who cares what the problem is, as long as we're aware.

GregC: No I did not actually go drag racing during Earth hour :smug:

hbarcat: I'm not really pro-candle, but I don't think they're that bad. As far as I know, no NOx will be produced because the candle is at atmospheric pressure. The CO2 production can be 'bad' or just negligible depending on what the candle is made out of. Carbon monoxide and soot are real problems with candles though.
