Mark Bass Cabs

Recently I bought a Mark Bass 104HR cab. After lugging around Trace Elliot, SWR and GK Cabs over the years I needed something light for an inner city residency with lot's of stairs!! This cab only weighs 24.5 kg and can be carried very easily. The sound from this cab is unbelievable. Tight and punchy with enough mid to cut through the band without being nasal. I use a GK 1001RB Head and find there is no need to push the volume to get over my loud drummer!!

I was so impressed with the performance of this cab, I bought a 104HF to sit under it at larger gigs. Still under 30kg this cab rocks!! Heaps more bottom end than the 104HR, so the combination is amazing.

These cabs are well built and capable of withstanding some volume!! If you can get over the yellow cones you won't regret your decision!

Never again will I lug heavy cabs around. My band loves me and so does my back!!

The 104HR does sound good, doesn't it? If I could get one in 4 ohms I'd own one today.

I know it says 8ohms on the Mark website, but I'm sure I was given the choice of 8 or 4 ohms at the shop. I went for the 8ohm option in case I wanted to add another cab to it. And sure enough one week later I did. Not that it needed it!!

These cabs are fine on their own at 8ohms. The Front ported unit does deliver more bottom end, but it's a little more awkward to move around due to the combination of height and depth. It does only weigh 29kg though!!

The 104HR is the perfect balance of size, sound, weight and portability! I'm hooked!!

The 4 ohm cabs are not yet available in the US, but should be within the next 3-4 months.
