The questions kinda defeat the statementThat's what I mean about transparent and flat just being marketing fluff, we apply the terms to tones we like without having any knowledge of what it may be altering. But with the 2 filters off and the other EQ's flat I find the LMII to be farther from the tones I hear direct than most other amps I've used. In this case it's a good thing to me.
Yes, I agree with this. I've compared LM II with Epi 502 & 600. I found LM II has more color than Epi line. That's why I ended with 600 over LM II. If you like LM's warm lower to middle midrange, go for it. But for my ear, I liked Epi's wide tone spectrm & clean sound better.
One thing, LM's DI is post out while others have pre/post switch.
