Markbass Amp Question

I have a Markbass 102P combo amp which I really like the sound of. I want to get a 2X12 cab with a head since the 10's seem to have some trouble. Does anyone know which Markbass amp head would be most similar sounding to the one in the 102P and can match the 800 watts of the cab? The only one I can find is the Tube 800, but I don't know if it has the same tone as the amp head in the 102P.

The amp doesn't need to match the watts of the cabs.
It is safe to use an amp that delivers less power than the cab can take.
And a 500W head + 2x12 is probably going to be louder than a 800W amp + 2x10 cab, because the increase of efficiency of the cabs (more cone area) will propably more than compensate the reduction of watt from the amp.

If it is newer Markbass 'CMD' 102P V the 58R Head is match; if older version LM IV would be closest match

Not sure what problem your having with tens but you can also add Traveler 102 Cabinet if need more clean volume if playing with very loud band; extra Cab will also increase power output of combo head to 500 watts as opposed to 300 now

I'd advice to get a 8 ohm 212, so you'd be able to add a second one later.

if you want maximum power with it, a 1000W MarkBass head will match nicely (looks like they discontinued most of 800s, but there was a reason for that: they weren't like that louder than 500W models, a 1000W is). the LM Ninja is a 1000W version of a regular Little Mark, also in production are Little AG 1000 and Little Marcus 1000, although, they're voiced a bit differently.

Agree. Especialy if I already owned the 102 combo, I would add the 102 cab.
