Markbass Bass Multiamp

In our testing, the Bass Multiamp produced 888w continuous (1,073w burst power) into an 8-ohm load in bridged mode. In stereo mode, it put out 308w continuous into 8 ohms and 505w continuous into 4 ohms (slightly higher in burst mode for each).

Hey Multiamp users, I haven't yet been able to test the Multiamp, so my question is the following: is the Multiamp capable of producing a 'big sound', a processed in-your-face prog rock/metal sound? I've recently owned and played a MB CMD121P, and sold it because it lacked 'grit', too clean, round and soft sounding for my taste. Can the multiamp's effects produce 'any' kind of bass sound? From ultra vintage to deep and punchy? Or is its overall tone warm and round?

I've been using my Bass Multiamp Stereo again recently for rehearsals. It certainly has lots of sounds. I'm using the two built-in power amps to drive two Epifani 3x10 cabs. Really overkill for my tiny rehearsal space, but whatever! I like the Synth tones and the gritty sounds it can make. I'm less certain about the amp models and tend to turn off the amp modeling. All that said, I have very little experience with amp emulators or even effects pedals for that matter.

In response to an earlier post, I did manage to get the matching midi control pedal and got it set up after some fiddling. Was also wondering if some other midi control would work just as well. To add to what I wrote earlier, I don't have much experience with midi either!

You could hook up the Behringer FCB 1010, which seems to work very easily with the Multiamp, and has 2 expression pedals!
