I haven't Tried this combo yet, but I must say I am really itching to get my hands on it! I've tried the single 12 combo and I've tried the 210 normal cab with a different head and both were really light and loud
regarding the tone of the amp itself, I must say that I don't think it is as flat as everyone seems to think, and IMO it lacks a bit in the deep low end and it has sort of a metallic zing to the top end which I like in certain applications but it doesn't seem to have that nice SWR, eden or EBS type sheen that I like in my treble response. I'd say the top end is closer to a genz benz type of tone (IMO of course)
Having said that, it was very easy to eq both the combo amp and cab to get a good tone out of each and I can clearly see why people love this gear so much
If the 210 combo can get even close to what a standard 410 + head can do then I am more than willing to take the markbass tone over my usual tone because IMO it's not a case of being better or worse, it's just a case of being slightly different to what I'm used too and for me the weight and effort savings are definitely more than worth it!
