Markbass DI out to Focusrite Scarlet 2i4

Hi all,

I'm recording a lot using just my Focusrite Scarlet 2i4 (2nd gen). To get a bit more of a "full" sound I was wondering if I could connect my bass trough my Markbass amp using the DI out (balanced line out) into the Scarlet.

Is that possible? If yes: what kind of cable do I need to use? And what settings do I need to make on the Scarlet? Of no: how can I do it then, should I get a DI box between them?

I understand that these are a lot of beginner / noob questions, but I'm not really technical.

yeah, connecting a DI out from amp is possible, regardless of make of amplifier or audio interface.
you'll need an XLR to XLR cable and that's it.

What Aloe said. Just don't forget that DI outputs have mic - not line level.

I did that awhile back from my little Mark ii and it sounded pretty good so go ahead.
