now thats an intresting question.
I really dont know why the '450' is there since the power section is their standard 500 watt at 4Ohm that all their amps have.

if you look at the 2nd issue of the Markbass magazine you'll notice they were supposed to change the model name into SA500 but for some reason that didnt happen, probably to not make things worse and confuse customers with the R500 amp.

I'm subscribed. Should have my LMKII soon. I am still undecided about my cab though. I heard the LMKII through a MB 104HF at my local GC with a similiar bass as to the 535 I'm getting and loved the tone, but I have also heard a lot of great things about the UL410 as well. I loved my last Epifani rig.

Decisions...decisions...decisions :ninja:

No offense Jimmy, my man, but gritty is one thing the LMII ain't! I have also tried out the R500 and didn't find that overly grity either. I kind of goes from clean, warm tube to harsh distortion. Not a real smooth tube break uo like you would expect.

Rhythm, I think I pretty much said that the LM II doesn't have its own grit. It's a clean amp, no doubt about it. But when I really dig in or play with a pick aggressively, I can get a very aggressive tone out of it that some would call "grit."

I hope it isn't another slow rollout like the initial one, but being that Markbass is still not a huge company, I'll bet it is. That means I can expect to get them at my GC by 2010, but I'll be able to get them in Miami ;)

It is my understanding that not quite all the MB stuff will be available that soon. I, for instance, am interested in the MB 104HR cabinet but I'm told it will not be out in 4 ohm for another 6 months or so.

There are no firm dates on any added models yet... Feb/March was a guesstimation. But I expect to have more info after NAMM... so please stay tuned for news next week.

Can't be done. There is no "input" that's after the preamp and tone shaping. Want a power amp? Get one. The LMII ain't yer man. :)
