Do you have a pic of the tweeter or model #?I'm in the process of replacing the piezo in my CMD 102P. Received the new one but it's not marked negative and positive. May be a dumb question but, does it really matter with a piezo?
When l pulled the old one out it was marked. I installed the new with the the terminals in the same position as it's angled and only points one direction.Do you have a pic of the tweeter or model #?
Thats exactly what l did. Pulled the old, it was marked and installed the new in the same position as the old is on an angle and the terminals point to the right on a 45° angle.I'm in agreement with @Hoochie Coochie Man -- at those frequencies, it won't make much difference which way you hook it up. That said, was the tweeter you removed marked for polarity? The replacement unit is likely to have the same physical positions for the '+' and '-' as the old one. But again, it won't really matter much, if any.
I just installed it in the same direction, 45° angle terminals pointing right, old one was marked. At high frequencies it may be difficult to discern by ear the effect of an out of phase piezo transducer such that it does not make a difference. That may be why there is no polarity marking.
I don't , Markbass sent it to me. The old one was marked and installed it in the same position as the old.Do you have a pic of the tweeter or model #?
Working ok?I don't , Markbass sent it to me. The old one was marked and installed it in the same position as the old.
Thanks
Seems to be, guess we'll find out soon enough. Last gig the old one was rattling like hell so on break l went in and disconnected it ... amp still sounded great...Working ok?
Yeah l installed it in the same position as the old, which was marked, as there were no markings on the new.Markbass used the LeSon tweeters (TLX1?) the same as what was in the old SWR. Usually had a little bit of nail polish or paint on the + side, but if @agedhorse says it doesn't matter wouldn't worry bout it.
