I tried the 121P combo at Guitar Center last week. I wanted to like it (small, light, portable, good price) but I felt that the amp was too powerful for the single 12 in a little cabinet. Even with a 4 string bass, flat EQ/filters and the master at 1 I heard the speaker straining a bit when I dug into the E string.

I really like the sound/features of the LMII head but I wasn't convinced that the speaker on the 121P could handle gig volumes with a low B. Anyone else tried this little beast?

The Marky 210 combo is very lightweight and VERY loud. Great combo.

You could also buy a Little Mark II (Head) separate and buy the 112HR cab? That way it wouldn't be a combo, but you'd be starting a killer rig. Just add another 12 and you've got an extremely versatile gig rig.

i had the chance to play the 15" markbass combo recently. loud, nice growly low end, lacking high mid punch but may be a good choice for sould, r&b etc.

good b string handling.

BUT: can't see why this unit costs twice as much as other good 15" combos.

I saw the 2x10 combo at GC for around $1100. The 4x10 cab was $1000, the 2x10 cab was $650, the 6x10 was $1450. The TA501 was $1100, and the SD800 was $1350.00. I wasn't a big fan of the cabs. The tone was good but those speakers didn't seem to like a lot of volume. The heads were outstanding though. The SD800 was monsterous through a Mesa Powerhouse 4x10.
anyone know kinda how expensive these are? i'm going to hopefully play on some tomorrow...i think the amp head and small cab idea might work for me...

thanks guys!

alright i got to play the combo with 2 10's in it today...yea...they had a slight buzz to them...and i didnt like it. it was 999.99 to...forgot my pen and paper at home so i couldnt right a better review type thing...well...i didnt like it...i'll probabaly just get a thunderfunk/accugroove amp/cab...

Hello! I can recommended you the CMD-103H, this is what I have at home.
Plenty of headromm and response with an astonish clarity.
Maybe is not in USA for the moment, I live in Spain and it was a nightmare find a store who can order from the factory.
I'm think in add a 15 cab to work with.
