MarloweDK signature bass

Hmm. A jazz bass. That's original.

A custom instrument is not meant to be some artistic statement nor a massive step in technologic or ergonomic instrument innovation. It's supposed to be something that you like. MarloweDK digs jazz basses, so he had a jazz made. I dig jazz basses so I had a jazz made. Originality, in most cases, is not the objective. I would actually wager that most custom instruments are very similar to Jazzes, Precisions, and Stingrays with small tweaks to fit the individual.

If you had the opportunity to have a sig bass made, what would yours be?

And no I'm not being sarcastic.

Now that's a great question!!! The most comfortable body for me has to be the Precision, my favorite neck has to be the Sadowsky but I also love the ergonomics of the Warwick Dolphin... I guess mine would be something like:

P-bass shape ash body with a beautiful bubinga top
Maple neck/fretboard
Passive Pj pickups (fralins maybe?)
Hipshot hardware (ultralight tuners)

Something like that...:bassist::bassist::bassist:

Kwesi wins at the internet.

MarloweDK is one of the reasons I play bass today, so I thank you for that! If anyone deserves a signature bass, its him. He has been the founding father of internet bass playing, influencing more players than anybody else on the web, IMO. And he looks scarily like my dad...
