It was made by johnk_10 from this board. He doesn't do pedals as a biz but occasionally makes an odd one or a batch of them. Check his website.

There's samples of this pedal in his "overdrive/fuzz quest" thread.
Do an inner thread seach for Guv'nor and it should pop up. Worth checking out.

Newer pedals sound like poo because they don't have that chip.

If you're still interested in a RAT, I have a Turbo RAT that's modded to switch between Turbo and original RAT and has a guitar/bass switch mod and the LM308 chip in it in the classifieds here.

I recommend trying this:

Put your BDDI right before your amp, so the last pedal in your chain. Then take all your other dirt pedals and put them together in front of your non dirt pedals. Try this. Then reverse the dirt and non dirt but always leave your BDDI in the same spot right in front of your amp.

See what you do/don't like about this and that'll answer some questions about where you might prefer certain pedals.

So
ATK>chorus>flange>delay>etc>distortion>fuzz>dirt>BDDI>
AMP

then

ATK>dirt>dirt>dirt>delay>flange>chorus>BDDI>AMP

I will def try this out when I get home today Andrew, thank you so much. One more question, in looking at the order to all these things, it is almsot like looking at them backwards right?? Like when you say put the BDDI right before my amp, that means this is the pedal that the chord going from my amp to my pedal board, the BDDI will be the first pedal the cord from the amp will run into and then so on right?

Yes. Think of your BDDI as part of your amp so keep it connected directly to the front of your 1001RB.

Since I've gotten the GK head, I've been experimenting without it a lot but I still keep it on most the time. And I am pretty interested in that modded Rat too btw. More details?? Or email here. If you need more contact info let me know.

I use my rackmount BDDI as a preamp/tone sculptor so I always leave it on. If you aren't using it as an overdrive then I think that's the best spot for it (right before your amp) but you'll know if you like it there best once you start experimenting with your pedal order.

It's ability to cut through in the mix. But then again that seems to be a problem with most distortion pedals on bass. I just picked up an fulltone OCD so well see how that does. I like the fact the guv'nor 2 can get that lower throaty almost tubey distortion, it just can't cut through my band.
