Wow... just seeing this news now and so sad to hear of Denny's passing. Always very kind and pleasant to deal with on TB. Even if I wasn't buying or selling he was always happy to chat and spend time discussing gear. A genuinely nice person who will be missed. RIP.

Very sadddned to hear this. I’ve been to Denny’s spread on many occasions and got to sit and chat for long periods of time. Always very open, inviting, funny, and like an encyclopedia of the low end. He will be truly missed and we all lost a little piece of our musical selves with his passing.

Oh crap, I just saw this!
I was wondering why I hadn't seen any postings in a while and searched his name.
Fortune that I got to hang with him at his house a few times. His very large garage was a bass players playground.
Nice and funny guy and a talented bass player. A lot of local session work has his playing on it.

How is it that I missed this?
Really nice guy, bought some great stuff from him. He had a way of making and ordinary P or J bass look special by simply putting on a unique pickguard and he put together one of my favorite basses.

Oh my...This is terrible news...I obviously hadn't spoken with Denny in quite some time and was looking him up to see what he was up to. He acquired 2 of my hand made basses and was so thoughtful in his reviews... He was a great guy to deal with...

He sold me some pickups a while back, and helped me resolve an issue I had with them. Seemed like good people.
