Matamp Official club

So seeing as though I cant find a Matamp club and I have had a good look around. I want to start a central resource for owners, players and admirers. You get a number when you show a picture. And everynow and then I'll get this going with news and history.

I'm first I have 2 custom Matamp Bass cabs, best money I've ever spent, here's the first

They also built me the matching sleeve for my GK, what a nice set of guys!

Wish I could join this one, but I have sold my 3 Matamps. I have owned a GTO, Little Rock and Minimat over the years. Matamps are in my top 3 sounding amps ever with Marshall and Hiwatt slightly ahead on points. That GTO killed!

I have a 1968 100, custom built for rola celestions Ipswich R&D:

Its one of the best sounding amps I have ever recorded.

Matamp's aren't as expensive as you'd think, yeah they are gonna cost the same as an SVT or Orange but there completely personal. Well worth the money.

a neo 4x10 cab will set you back about £550 with huge specs, amps in range of £1000 to £1400

I should have another Matamp addition soon if all goes to plan :D

as a longtime ampeg dude i suddenly have a case of matamp envy. i think it was mr foxen's guitar head that put me over the edge. i love the 60's hi-fi look. obvious where ashdown got a lot of its look, eh?

You know that is an Ashdown head right? They had Dave Green design it whilst he was with Matamp and then he 'defected' over, and the Ashdown guitar line became Hayden. Apparently this is one of the first ones made 'down south' as Matamp put it, right before they spat on the floor. It is very similar to the Matamp GTV inside, down to the date sticker on the choke.

Compare and contrast the Ashdown gubbins: http://s17.photobucket.com/albums/b69/Incarante/Ashdown%20Peacemaker/
