I am not all that big a fan of natural, light-maple colored headstocks and prefer matching headstocks whenever possible. Cut up whatever color sticker and stick it on there if you want, but IMHO it looks great as is. More 'finished'.

I would speculate to say that YOU will be the only one in your band or in the audience that cares 2 cents about the matching headstock. It is however, your bass and you should do with it whatever you want.

I have a bass in shipping that should be a keeper. It does however have a matching sunburst headstock. Perhaps a matching black headstock for a metal bass or an all white bass like Larry Graham's Moon Bass, but this sunburnt headstock has me looking for an answer.

Suggestions? Sanding then replacement decal? Brown paint?

why would ya mess wit it? ive got a 60 dollar dean and a parts bass p..love them both..think the headstock looks awesome
