Matt Freeman Signature Bass!

I played QP back in the 90's. They were good, but I think I like the dimarzio better. I said they have a punk sound, but I actually use this bass at church just as much playing modern christian music. I really like them. I had 2 set up with them but I changed one to Aguilar Ag 4p60 just to have a different sound, but that bass now has flat wounds as well. I did have the MF with the dimarzio's and flat wounds for a bit too, but really liked the dimarizo with SS strings or NW strings.

Thanks for the input! I mostly play punk and some metal. I saw some shootout videos between the two pickups and liked the dimarzios more, think I’ll go with those!

Recently upgraded the Matt Freeman with the Delano P Bass pickups. HOT DAMN

Happy to see an very active thread about this Squier model. Have anyone ever played on a Squier Precision Classic Vibe 70? If so what's the difference between the MF? Do you know if the neck is thicker or thinner?

Sweet!

What strings you got on there? I recently put GHS Pressurewounds (med light) on mine and it sings.

I have tried the cv 70s once like a couple years ago so my memory may be off. But I recall it being a little less chunky front to back than the MF neck.

Thanks a ton! I recently started a love affair with D'Addario Strings and I love their green pack nickel round wounds. They sound new for a long long time which I like.

When I traded mine in at Sam Ash I told them to put a price tag of at least 400 on it. They were stupid and put it up for 329.00. It lasted a day. Now used in are going for 700 on EBAY.

would anyone want to share a picture of how they have their pickup height adjusted? Also what strings are you finding work best with the stock pickup considering I'm looking for a modern rock tone like Ben Shepherd (soundgarden) or Nate Mendel (foo fighters). I don't have much experience with P basses, but obviously they are tried and true in the rock world.
