MB Fusion vs WalkAbout

Yep, that was me.
Hoped for a 600 watt Walkabout, and was thoroughly disappointed in that MP600.
Seriously, it was WAY more than just you. :)

I want a Walkabout with the M9 power section. Stupid headroom, giving me complete choice over how much of the saturated Walkabout tone I want: none, some, or nasty.

As it is now, I find the Walkabout underpowered for somethings, even when pushed hard at 2 ohms. Bummer, cause it's a great head, aside from that.
I know what you're asking for (trust me on this!), but I'm not sure it'd be as simple as tacking the Mx power section on. We're getting OT here, but the short version is, the design of the power section in the WA is a big part of its magical formula, and I don't think it's the same as the Mx heads.

But if you're speaking more generally, just in terms of volume/power levels and official support for 2 ohm load stability, I agree.

Yessir: the second scenario.
I understand the power sections are different, I just want 2-3 times the headroom, plz and thx;)

I've been harping on Boogie to do that for years, and they've been hearing it from a lot of players. It sounds like they are starting to listen. :D

Then bummer for me recently downgrading my M9 for an M6.....time to start collecting nuts for winter......care to drop a thinly veiled hint at a ballpark timeline (2011??)?

I really don't know enough to hazard a guess, but in my recent interviews with both Randall Smith and Dan Van Reizen, it does appear that they are listening to all the clamoring for a more powerful WalkAbout.
