just the crappy microphone on my laptop. more getting to know the program than anything else.

Oh, cool. Audacity is a really great program. I use it to edit all of our live recordings. I also use it to record song ideas, create loops for practicing, change pitch on songs, slow parts down, speed parts up, normalize audio that's too quiet, edit tags... I can't believe that it's FREE!
