This was here Wednesday afternoon with the worst air quality in the world 🥵. After going outside to take the picture I instantly thought of Dexter Wansel's funk song "life on Mars.Been mostly living indoors and my eyes are stinging, sneezing a lot and scratchy throat.

Haha this resonates. Also, it's been bad in Souther WI as well. Our office has been pulling it inside… lame. The floor has been fine though, exhaust and all… closed the shop up, but 500k sq feet gets awfully hot all closed up in a large weldment facility, especially on these 95 degree days. Did get some a few cloud hurts yesterday on my way home but that was all. Wind came up this evening and the sky seemed to clear a bit.

I don't think I could handle a Bingo hall anymore… or a bar like back in the day.

Nor can I believe I used to smoke.

We got "orange" air quality warnings in Southwest Virginia yesterday. It was just very hazy, and you could smell a bit of the smoke. Worst in the middle of the day, but by evening there were blue skies again.

Hey that's not bad at all!!! Around 2010-2011 or so I was living in Moscow and some peat bogs south of the city caught on fire. Smoke rolled in. All the drugstores ran out of oxygen bottles in half a day. My wife had me making oxygen out of water (electrolysis). [mostly for psychological effect, didint harvest much]
Anyway, the pic above I can see four hydro poles... Downtown moscow for a couple of days, visibility right down Tverskaya Ulitsa completely ended at about halfway between the first one and the second...

We used to play hall parties where it was so sweaty that it started raining indoors and the white walls were drippy brown from the years of cigarette smoke.
Stuff a couple of cigarette butts in your nostrils and carry on regardless. Just check your beer for them before you take a swig.

in tha late 70's early 80's,I played bar gigs. We used to have a beer per set - part of that was advertising for the bar (the place makes it's money off alcohol), but the other reason was to wash the smoke down your throat - It felt good to get that stuff out of your throat, but I'm not sure swallowing it was the best idea.

Pretty sure that was worse for me than the smoke out West - we travelled through Spokane a week and a half ago. It smeeld a bit like a campfire = I kinda liked it.
