Meatbox reissue, huh?

in the demos it sounds badass ....
now the dilemma.....
do i get rid of my octabass .... no use of keeping both ....
G.A.S ...... damn .... breath ....

well, it's not out yet ... maybe i can wait a month ... let my previous orders make it home safely

Well I'm not sure, but the meatbox is more a sub octave. I'm not sure it'll do the job in replacing your EBS. I know my POG2 ans arion octave are staying right where they are. I think anyway ;)

i think i'll use the sub more often then the normal octave .... i actually use the octave in parallel mode through the pedalpalette, that way it's always clean no matter what other effects i'm going through .... and i trully think the meatbox will do a better job in pushing that extra kick i'm looking for

Well that's cool you know what you want. I just want to shake eyeballs and suck the air out the room :D

In my experience with a sub pedal (Mantic Density Hulk), it is very different tool from an octaver. I found I liked the Hulk best when playing between 13th fret F on the E string up to 12th fret on the G string. That range of a major 9th is where the effect really shines and gives the pants flapping air pumping effect. It's not a matter of tracking, because it tracks higher and lower than that. It's a matter of producing those money notes.

It didn't replace my MXR BOD, and the BOD could never replace the Hulk. They just do different things tonally. I imagine the Meatbox reissue will deliver similar results.

Yeah, the density hulk did exactly that for me too along that same range. The tone was really cool sounding up and down the neck as well, just not pants flapingly cool. Just, like, rumbly in your guts cool.

I remember trying to play this disco style walking octave line at a jam sesh with the Hulk and feeling disoriented. Either the lower or upper octave notes were overwhelming or specters depending where I was on the neck. It just doesn't lend itself to those type of lines.
