Meatbox reissue, huh?

I just opened it! It is a beautiful little box. I won't get a chance to play it tonight. But tomorrow's another day! Has anyone put the sub through a fuzz yet? How does it sound? Anyone post a video of theirs yet?

I have run before and after it. I think I like it after more. I've run the JTDT, my don't shred on me at high gain, my EAND muff and the b:Assmaster. Oh what sweetness.

@Somnambulance...nice! I've heard the megalith is awesome!! I just hooked it up quick and dirty w a couple muffs and I'm pretty sure I started a riot in my neighborhood there's dogs barking and babys crying..its freekin awesome. .

Awesome muffs!! How's that red and silver one with your rig? And why do you prefer it to other muffs? I've been thinking of trying one again as i used to have one a long time ago.

@gregmon79.thank you! I love it. It's a '79 ic based v5 with tone bypass. It's definitely grimey. If that makes any sense to you?... Totally different than my civil war which I think is why I like it...its got a different kind of fuZz. I think it's a little more scooped than the cw and definitely a lot more gain. I actually bought it thinking it was a v3 muff. But now that I've played with it for a couple weeks I'm glad it's the ic version... I wouldn't sell my cw..but id let that one go if I really wanted something else or if a stupid trade opportunity came up. If that answers your question..i think it's fairly similar in sound to my buddy's recent NYC reissue

I'd like to ask you guys opinion....is 3000 a small batch for one of the largest/best Pedal companies ever? What's a typical run? Is there even a "typical" run or is there an initial batch and a certain amount more built depending on demand for that certain Pedal? I'm under the impression that I'm a member of a fairly exclusive club here...anyone else? @DigiTechRep?

IMO, 3000 seems like a lot. At first I was like I NEED TO GET ONE NOW!!! Haha. But then I thought about it and was like, 3000 is quite a bit. But, since there is no more chips that make this meatbox left anywhere, I decided, I NEED TO GET ONE NOW!! Haha. Plus I've wanted one since I found out about them a few years ago. It was time.

On a side note, I now have NYC big muff GAS big time. Dammit. I really want one now. They sound awesome on bass! Me and muff GAS. Who would've guessed?! ;)

I had a similar way of thinking....3000is a lot...then I realized that dod is distributed worldwide and that make that number a lot smaller....no more original chips EVER....and 149$? I mean cmon. I know Dan said (in juans vid) they had a different chip and could change the circuit to accommodate it. I'm glad I got 1 of the orig 3000 They will never get mine..... I'm excited to try it with my drum machines and synth too...BTW after I played with it through the muffs, I came downstairs and the wife said her teeth were rumbling and the whole house was shaking. Lol.

So now that you guys have them, around you running an HPF after the Meatbox? Does it cancel the sub lows out, or just make it useable so you don't trash your speakers? I'm considering one for funsies.

I run the HPF, (mthump) works fine. I have not run it at crazy volumes yet to really compare with/without.

I have an fdeck1 at the very end of my chain. But it's always dimed. I'm considering revamping and running the meatbox in its own loop with the fdeck for more isolated control. We shall see. But it does seem to protect just fine. When it's not dimed that is.
