Meatbox reissue, huh?

How's the Don't Shred On Me compare to the Blower Box? I just ordered a Throne Torcher, was thinking about checking out some more Abominable stuff.

It's quite similar yet they're different enough to warrant keeping both. The DSoM is a rat. Plain and simple. I sent mine back so they could do a clipping mod on it though. The added LED clipping really makes it shine and grind. But I use the DSoM as a raunchy dist. The BB, as a raunchy OD. Love both.

I've been dialing in my bass rig with the Meatbox today. The Tip out of the Meatbox I'm using a JBL SRX 2x15 cab and Crown XTi-1000 that I usually use for the band PA. The Ring out is going to a Yamaha PB-1 to a bridged Peavey 120/120 to a 2x15 cab. My fave settings for the Meatbox with this setup are:

Octave = 10:00
Level = 1:30
Sub = 4:00
Low = 4:00

Got the Meatbox today and it's AMAZING! My tiny 10" 40 watt amp was downright hilarious in its attempts to reproduce such MASSIVE lows. Hooked it up to my Sony 15" sub on my stereo and that was F-A-T!!! My plan is to get the EBS splitter then get a decent sub (thinking two different sizes; one for home/moderate volume use and a bigger one to move some damn air and I mean MOVE it). Let the saving of money begin! Thanks again to @DigiTechRep for all the awesome updates,tips,jokes and for putting up with my frustrations. Here it is on my now full (dare I say complete?) board.

Here's a shot of what ended up with:

Link Removed

Signal path:

Fender Jazz Bass Special > Meatbox > Ring > Yamaha PB-1 > bridged Peavey 120/120 (TUBES!) > 2x15 cab
Tip > Direct box > Crown XTi-1000 > JBL SRX 2x15

It is clear to me that the Tip signal needs it's own pre-amp/level control, so I'm going to incorporate a DOD BIFET Boost 410 to send a nice hot level to the XTi. I'm also going to experiment with the crossover outputs on the PB-1, I might be able to get away with using those instead of a separate pre-amp.

I'm fairly certain that all one truly needs for amazing bass tone is a Meatbox, although with a set up like this I agree about the Meatbox and a boost.

I am seriously thinking of just putting it in the rack when I get it and using the meatsmoke as the dedicated pre for the meatbox. AT first I could just run each in a different channel of the power amp, later on, I could try with a dedicated SUB of some sort.

Alright, I guess I need one of those as well.
There are just a few things I'd like to be confirmed by some of you nice people:

This "tip / ring thing" (TSR) is the same as a stereo to 2xmono cable, like this, right?

I can use the MEATBOX first in the signal chain to split my signal (coming from a passive bass) and run 2 rigs, right?
Because I would like to run the "sub-signal" into an Acoustic 301 and the "clean signal" through a lot of fuzz and then into 4x15" & 2x10".

The 301 (with the 18" Cerwin Vega) should handle those low frequencies with ease, right?

I can say it's DOD's fault if I cause seismic happenings by running the sub signal through an Octamizer, right?
Or should I blame Aguilar?

Cheers!

Can you tell me where you can get one of those cables please??
