After re-reading this thread in the HOF semi-finals (where it's easily winning), it certainly deserves a bump!
very sweet and touching story! And yes updates. I just spent like and hour and a half reading all the post. I wanna know how she's doin to.
You know what's really cool? Every once in a while, after I've had a rough time, this thread pops back to life. I haven't been around TB for awhile, no time, but this thread lets me know that people really do care, and that acts of kindness can, and do, touch people.

About basses-- I have an old Eko bass (Hoeffner copy), very light, and has a tiny neck for small hands. You can usually find them used pretty cheap. Another bonus-- it's a hollow body-- so you don't always *have* to have an amp to practice.
