Meet Grace, and her bass

I've read this thread a bunch of times now, and still get moist-eyed. Time for a little bumpette so that it makes the weekend for someone who's never read it.

wow ..this is the first time i have read this and im no mister nice guy but i have to tell you this has warmed my heart. the look on grace's face olding her bass made me and my GAS feel very insignificant...congrats to grace she TRULY deserves it

OK, I haven't updated this in a while, sorry about that!
Grace is currently not taking lessons, or playing the bass. She got busy with finals in the spring, and never has started back up.
I am hoping that maybe once school starts back up, she will want to study some more with me.
I have asked her about it a few times, but have not gotten a commitment from her on starting back up. Just trying to keep her encouraged at this point.
But, she is a teenager, after all, and you know how busy our lives are at that stage!

Seriously, this story should have made the evening news. If something like this doesn't put a big old lump in your throat, you better check to see if you still have a pulse.
It's a wonderful story, and Grace is a little doll. The look on her face is priceless.

And Grace, you have made a permanent impression on my entire family, and myself. You are in our prayers, and we wish you all the best. God bless you honey.

PS- I ordered a Carvin LB20 back in June. It arrived on July 21. I had been trying to decide on a fitting name for her ever since. One of the contenders was 'Gracie'. This thread put it over the top. So tell Grace she's had a brand new bass named after her.
Gracie's a redhead too .
God bless Embellisher, Bassic83 and most of all that pretty little angel Grace. I'm having trouble seeing the screen right now, looks under water for some reason.
Let's all be sure and pray for a speedy recovery for her.
Anybody know who that awesome one-handed bassist is, that I've seen on youtube. He'd really inspire her! I know he smokes me....badly

One more thought that I had for Gracie: If it is too much for her to have a bass hanging on her shoulders because of her condition, what about adapting a 'Gracie' stand (Link Removed) to hold her bass for her? Stan

My new '06 Fender Standard Jazz Bass Fretless will have a new headstock decal made in the 70's style to read "Fender Grace Bass".
