I've shown this thread to family, coworkers, friends, and very few can make it through the first few pages without tearing up. That's a great feeling to me. I hope to hear from Jeff and from Grace in the near future on how things are going up there.

Whenever I get a little down, someone replies to this thread- it's like magic or something!- and I get to read it (or at least a few posts, anyway). Makes me feel good that I could help someone have the joy of music in their life, and the fact that it touches people all over the world is a nice bonus!

I wasn't very active on this forum back when this thread started but after reading through it just now all I can say is God bless you Bassic83 and Embellisher for your kind hearts and generosity. Your's are the kinds of actions that truly make a difference in this world.

And to Grace, the brave and impressive one, many smiles and best wishes, it appears you have a lot of bass playing friends here.

Grace is doing fine. We have not had a lesson in a few weeks due to me being sick, Grace being sick, and on the weeks where neither of us were sick, she has had tons of homework.

Hopefully lessons will start back up in a week or two.
