Sammi was born '64 and Hope and Glory was released in '88, so she must have been 23-ish when they filmed the movie.
Well, all the school kids in Grease were pushing 30, so she was definitely more age appropriate.

She did a couple flicks with the late Ken Russell and LOVED him. She said you can tell the scenes he shot before lunch, and the ones he filmed after lunch, because he switched from wine to spirits at lunch. After which the set got riotously loose.
She also said he knew the camera like no other. She plays the lead in his film The Rainbow and was in virtually every shot. Couple days into filming, she fell of her bike (she rides it throughout the film) and scraped one side of her face.
Ken didn't sweat it, he simply filmed her profile from the other side without any production trouble, even on tight sets that severely limited his choice of angles and continuity...
Anthony Quinn...my Mom’s absolute favorite actor!![]()
I've always said that i never wanted to be famous because of reasons exactly like this. Turns out, I've got nothing to worry aboutOh I forgot one...I saw Travis Barker at Disneyland. Not that I am a big Blink-182 fan but as a drummer I recognized him from his Drummer Magazine covers. It was kinda hard to miss all those tattoos; he was the focus of a number of folks as he pushed his kid in the stroller.
I think it is great to have my fan clamoring about, although one person can only clamor so much.I've always said that i never wanted to be famous because of reasons exactly like this. Turns out, I've got nothing to worry about![]()
