Memory Boy Clips!

what i wanna know is, can i use the expression pedal to drive it into self-oscillation? and if so, is that only possible with modulation on?
I don't own an expression pedal, but I think the expression pedal can only control delay time or modulation depth, not feedback. So you still need to knob twiddle on the floor my friend.

i've alredy posted about this topic before, but now here comes the second run.
in the meanwhile i had sent my memoryboy-unit back to hotrox.co.uk,'cause it produced some heavy amount of "windy-sizzling-noise" on the delays.
but what a big "surprise" when it got the same unit back yesterday and they told me, that their employee couldn't find any misfunction
but it's still there !!!
so i recorded two clips with this unit half an hour ago.
the first one was recorded directly to the pc :

for the second one i miced my small amp at home :

the amp was an solid state amp and the bass was passive.
but i had already tested it with my alltube-amp and my active-bass in our rehearsel-room before i sent it back to hotrox.co.uk - and it produced exactly the same amount of "noise" ;(
so i'd like to get feedback from anyone who has the memboy too
,to know if thats normal ... as well i would appriciate anybody else to listen to the clips too and tell me , if they hear the "noise" as well ...
i already start to doubt my sanity - am i the only one who is hearing the noise ? ^^
is the sizzling noise what ehx calls "analog&dark&vintage" ?
p.s. : the intention of the recording wasn't to show my playing-skills ... although the must be somewhere .... very good hidden

I just got to try out the Memory Boy/Toy today at work. We just got them in and i was quite excited to try them.
The delay sounds good and has a great analog tone to it....but the modulation....eck...I didn't buy either pedal because of that modulation and plus I have 2 analog delays already :x

That is indeed the analog sound of the pedal, a lof-fi haze that accompanies the delayed signal. Part of the charm of analog. If it's not your bag I suggest getting something digital. The echobox is an excellent example of of a digital delay with an analogish degradation of repeats without the extra murkiness of a traditional analog delay.
