Mesa 215, worth pursuing?

Yeah, its totally worth it. You could probably find an EV replacement if you looked hard enough.

If I saw that at a trip to GC, I would probably take it home with me. You can always unload in the future at no loss.

Not that I disagree, but I once owned one with 2 old Carvin Magnalab 15s that sounded excellent. Very different, but still great sounding. Surprised me.

Hell yes!
I've been using 2 Diesel 115s for years cause I'm not convinced there's anything better for what I do (rock, jazz, funk, and reggae).

That is a very capable and well respected cabinet.
It's a very good deal.
I would be a little concerned about the second speaker.
It may be an EV that has been reconed
or it may be something else.
There are still EV M series speakers out there, if you need to get one.

Also, I agree that getting the G-K 800RB with it would be a nice pairing
with that cab.

The downside is that it will make you work for it every time you move it.

The diesel 2x15 is a great cab. I'd still have mine if I didn't drive a sedan.

Sure looks like one to me.

Great cabs; heavy as lead and sound fantastic.

+1 on finding another EV driver (unless that's a re-coned EV in there now), but use it as-is for now. I'm sure it'll still sound great.

Heavy as poopie though, so I've ripped the EV-15Ls out of mine and am building another cab.
