Mesa Boogie, Part 3

Maybe even a higher powered Walkabout that's been rumored? If the M-P600 is indeed D/C'd, then that could be the case... they could use the same chassis and materials, etc. and wouldn't even need much retooling. Would just need a bigger power supply with the front end of the WA and go for it.

Yeah thats kinda what I was thinking. It wouldn't make marketing sense to offer both the 600 and an equivalently powered walkabout so the 600 being discontinued makes me wonder. I wish there was some info out there. Im cconsidering a Carbine but would rather have a higher powered WA. At least thats what I think I would prefer. Still need to try the Carbines though. Sadly my WA just isn't cutting it anymore.

The M6/M9 are just stellar, but again yeah- it'll be a night and day tonal difference from the WA, no doubt!

IMO, the M-P 600 smokes the M-2000... I think you'll be happy with that change...

I know you know what you're talking about. But it's quite hard to believe, the M-2000 is definitely a killer amp ! I really dig the sound I got with mine. The tube-pre is clean, crystal-sounding lows and mids and the Fet-chan has some punchy low & infras. All the features it has are insane!

But I still hope the 600 is better :hyper:

I traded my M2000 for a first-run M-P600. I didn't regret it in the least!

My current set up, actually thinking of gettin' a smaller rack, only using the BBE rack with the Mesa right now. Everything else is for show :rollno:

Hey Mesa owners. I'm looking for a good practice/at home amp to pair with my Mesa 400+......do any of the not all tube Mesas have headphone jacks?

I'm not looking for a designated Headphone Amp as I want to practice with how the Mesa colors my effects and bass signal. Get it as close to uniform from headphone practice, to band practice, to onstage screaming volume as possible. I know none of the not all tube heads sound like the 400+.....but it would be close than a headphone amp.

I am using a "not all tube" M9 as my main gigging amp and as a backup and headphone amp, I was using a GK MB Fusion until recently.

$500 used, fits in a gig bag, has a headphone jack and sounds suprisingly like the Mesa Carbine amps.

I absolutely love that 212. I mostly retired the old Diesel cabs, but my all-time favorite tonal cab was that old 215. The closest tone I can to it get with a modern one is the PH212....bonus that it's lighter and more efficient.
Only con is they're hard to find. I want to get a matching one, that way I can stop dragging that 810 from show to show, I like the way the 12's sound better.

Updated Boogie pic.

So that's where all the good used Mesa gear has gone. That is impressive. Is that a V Twin pedal? How does it sound with a bass? I am interested in scooping one up to use as a headphone amp/OD pedal to run in front of a Buster 15 combo that I hope I can score. I want to go back to Mesa tubes, but I really don't want to lug around a D-180 or 400. The Buster should fit the bill nicely.
