Mesa Boogie, Part 3

I prefer the black grill VS silver because it blends well with the Mesa guitar cabs better, its all personal preference really though. I had a PH1200 and PH610 for a while before my 412, and swapped out the silver grill on the 610 for the black grill so the 610 could match my 412 if I used them together (I eventually sold the 1200).

I'm getting it with the silver grill! What do you guys think about it vs the black?

I've had 'em both, and prefer the black - but it's purely a matter of personal preference...

maybe i missed it but i dont see a lot of stuff about the PH 1x15s on this thread. is this a taboo cab, or just not a good'un. i'm about to buy a second one. good or bad? any comments?
thanks

I have a PH115 that I add to my M6 212 for big rooms. I have taken the M6 head out of the combo and used it with the PH115 as a practice rig; not as much headspace, but it's a lighter-weight and easier on stairs.
I think two of the PH115s will make a great cab setup.

thanks worldeeter.i just had a fear that they were a dog cab because not many folks talk about them. i cant wait to get another to pair up with the first and i will then be gassing for a mesa amp. i use a GK MB fusion 500 at the moment that i believe has a bit of a carbine sound from what i have read but a mesa is on the cards . thanks again

I often use a RR115 - which is the current PH115's predecessor - and it works quite well... I can't imagine the current PH115 as being a bad cab, although I haven't used one of those in a band setting... I use a PH215 on a regular basis, and it is a slammin' cab...

Deedubs – how does the Buster sound through the 2x15 road ready diesel cab as compared to the traditional ph410?

Well I havent hooked them together yet (I've had the buster for almost a week), but I have read in a few places that the buster kills with a 2x15. I'll report someday if and when I use them together. The diesel RR2x15 is retired for now. I can't fit it in my current car, and I no longer want to shlep that badboy around. I just can't bring myself to get rid of it. It's such an awesome cab. It prob won't take long before I pair them together, and give it a go.....to tell you the truth, I'm kinda scared that I'll like them together too much, and curse myself back into hauling that thing around again.:hiding:
