Be sure the shell/barrel of the 1/4” plug doesn’t come in contact with anything metal, including other connectors.

In general, I recommend Speak-On to Speak-On cables, and only Neutrik branded plugs.

At some point ill switch to a speakon both sides. I should be cool for the time being no?

Before I forget @agedhorse. At night, I usually run my Iphone through the aux jack (1/8inch on my Ampeg ba115v2.) to listen to something as I play. It has a knob that sets the audio level of the AUX in put. I know its in the manual but for some reason Im having an issue understanding it (ive always had trouble with comprehension, especially through school. Thanks ADHD) I see the input is in the back, but what controls do I use to set the volume on my phone and the volume off the amp/bass.

Now you have a basic mix, you can alter the balance through the combination of those 3 controls.

Could I do that for the time being and get a speakon to speakon in the future? Im not gigging at the moment so it aint moving any time soon haha

I used a speakon to jack, just make sure u connect all speaker leads BEFORE u turn your amp on. The main draw back of the jack, is It can 'short' while connecting, that can't happen if the amp is off...

I dont mean to sound self centered but I am extremly proud of myself haha. This will be my first "nice" rig pretty much ever! I never felt more motivated to play and practice. I can actually play out now! The Ampeg ive been running for the better part of ten years just is not loud enough

My honeymoon is still going after 6 months!. Regarding volume the TT is capable of serious SPL. Depending on the gig, i have' 2 x210s and 2x 112s..and use 1. 2, or 4 depending on volume restrictions, and how much 'throw ' I need. (I play outdoors alot, sometimes with small, non sub PA. )
I will add I like my TT output stage set for mild clip, that is what really separates it from other SS amps(imho)

So since there isnt a -15 switch (unless im blind) on the amp, what do I do when I wanna switch between active and passive basses

There’s a switch for active and passive. I play EBMM H and HH and sometimes prefer the passive mode. Especially with the HH and dialing in that James Jamerson sound or at least as much as a SR can imitate an old P.

High and Low Gain is what you’re looking for to switch.

I dont see it anywhere on the head

Just above input jack, on front face of amp. Marked as High(gain), Low(gain)
It works way better than a normal db pad (-10 or 15 dbcut).

I agree with above, Definitely don't skip through the manual.. there's a wealth of info, that is specific for the TT..
Also, don't be afraid to ask questions to the kind folks on TB.. I asked some pretty "kooky" ones, all have been patiently answered.

I encourage you to dig in the manual too. Guaranteed that you’ll learn not just some history of the company but about audio and amplification.

I get it. It’s a man thing. I’m no longer a full time musician but a pilot by profession. Manuals can be a snooze fest. It’s not thick in size but full of great stuff!

But hey you can always ask questions…. Curiosity keeps you young but discovery gives wisdom.
