When I ordered my custom shop 12 combo (the wine gator leather one) I literally begged them to use paired handles on the sides and was told they would not change the design in any way. They WILL sell handles separately (I bought one for my aluminum headcase) , but without knowing where the cab is reinforced I wouldn't install one myself. IMHO the single handles on the Scout cabs and combos are a silly design flaw that they should rectify with paired side handles..........but they haven't called asking for my opinion
A PH 112 cab weighs less than a Scout 12 combo and the PH has paired side handles but.......oops.....I guess I was applying logic......like asking for a more powerful Walkabout "Stomp" edition........
My one complaint after hauling it to the gig last night and then back home is why oh why Mesa put the one single handle on one side? It makes carrying a fairly lightweight cab a real chore. I mean the headcase has recessed handles on both sides but the cabinet has one single leather handle?![]()
Has anyone every mounted a matching one on the other side?
