We had talked about a WA OD some time ago and I was wondering if it is going to be revisited. If not, I'll have to try a V-1 Bottle Rocket.I have no idea.

What's a 'WA OD' and what's a 'V-1 Bottle Rocket'?We had talked about a WA OD some time ago and I was wondering if it is going to be revisited. If not, I'll have to try a V-1 Bottle Rocket.
That's a guitar oriented product, the guitar guys and the bass guys don't cross over too often. Therefore, I don't know what's happening with this.We had talked about a WA OD some time ago and I was wondering if it is going to be revisited. If not, I'll have to try a V-1 Bottle Rocket.
...I would characterize it as proprietary, trade secret stuff...and for obvious reasons that is always hard to explain without exposing information that is usually locked up at night.Sounds complicated.
Hard to pin down even.
Al, Gotta dark side, huh? Just call it a quantum characterization of the inverse reality law… and call it a night....I would characterize it as proprietary, trade secret stuff...and for obvious reasons that is always hard to explain without exposing information that is usually locked up at night.![]()

I tried to coax a detailed explanation out of agedhorse one day and while he would tell me if my understanding was close or a complete miss, it became obvious that they got something there that is going to remain "secret sauce" as a best explanation. My sense is that there is some clever engineering in the hybrid circuit design, as well as how it interfaces seamlessly with the rest of the tone stack.Al, Gotta dark side, huh? No black ops were mentioned in Mesa Boogie Walkabout Mega-thread Part 10… until now.![]()
Quantum characterization of the inverse reality law. Right agedhorse? Riiight!I tried to coax a detailed explanation out of agedhorse one day and while he would tell me if my understanding was close or a complete miss, it became obvious that they got something there that is going to remain "secret sauce" as a best explanation. Show it the hammer then. From what I read on TB, the V-1 Bottle Rocket may be too dark sounding w/o modding.
Nope. Thought about getting into modding but I'm def not going to start here.Show it the hammer then.
Give it a tickle.

Did some searching and so far, haven't found an answer. Does anyone know how much Mesa charges for a replacement black face panel to replace an early flaky one?
Yes. They are. We know a guy.I'd say you're best bet is to call Mesa. Rumor has it they're friendly.![]()
ric426, This is THE GUY.Call customer service, they will know the answer.
Well, I do know the right guys to get a good answerric426, This is THE GUY.![]()
Hmm. So I guess I shudda said, "We know a guy who knows people." But, that wouldn't have had the dramatic effect.Well, I do know the right guys to get a good answer![]()
What's a 'WA OD' and what's a 'V-1 Bottle Rocket'?
I know WA is Walkabout. I have one. I just don't know what the rest of it means.
