Mesa Boogie Walkabout Part 6

If you were going to get some type of Walkabout cab, I'd get an identical cab. That way both speakers would have the same load.

You can mix 8 and 4 but the load will be unbalanced. And that might be ok (i.e. mixing a 4 ohm 4x10 with an 8 ohm 2x10).

For a single cab recommendation, we'd need to know what your tone/size/cost goals are. For me, my one cab recommendation is a Berg AE410 (best sounding cab I've ever played thru). But that's just me.

I just want Lightweight cab.Lightweight is MOST important. But loud enough to play a good size club gig..

My goal is just to get 1 cab.. or get another radiator cab and use it with the walkabout combo...

THe only thing I'm keep confused about is the walkabout head is 300 watt 4 0hm..

but some people have told me i could use a 600 watt 4 ohm cab with it?

The power rating of the cab does not need to match the amps output - the cab rating is a maximum handling capacity.

I reckon a nice Neo-loaded 2X12 would be best as recommended earlier by lomo - it gives you three speaker options (1X12 - combo only, 2X12 - Walkabout head and 2X12 or 3X12 - Walkabout combo and 2X12) and the Neo versions are surprisingly light and manageable.

The GK Neo112-II and 212-II are a nice match for the Walkabout.
The 112's are 8 ohm only, the 212's come in either 4 or 8 ohm.

Any two of your choice would work well, and you can still add two more (if you're getting all 8 ohm).............A Walkabout pushing four GK212's would rock your world, I guar-an-tee.

I can't find the 4ohm version of 212-II def will get that over mbe; I've heard mixed stuff about mbe nei..

Well even 1 8 ohm 212-II u think would be loud enough for small club gig .. I could always run it with the scout cab

I wouldn't recommend running a scout cab with the GK cabs; they're voiced very differently.
I don't know that they would be friends with each other.

Congrats! I'm sure it's great to be back playing.

I had no idea; here's to a speedy recovery, and best wishes!

Thanks. I've hitting all the markers on recovery, meaning that if one phase was expected to 6-8 weeks, it has taken me the six. Of course, it's like playing the bass: it's not how fast you heal/play, it's how well.

I now return you to our regularly scheduled programing:D.

True enough.
I had a friend who permanently jacked the rest of his life by pushing recovery and not listening.
Stay the course, be patient; and be good to yourself.

Nice! Glad you're hittin' the markers! Not fun, but fast progress sure feels good!
