Mesa Diesel 2X18

I used to have the 215 with EV's back a few years ago. It wasn't the diesel cab but the regular 215. It was great! It sounded big and aggressive and was big and aggressive. The only reason that I got rid of it was that it was too difficult to in and out of my car at the time(It was a 2 door).
I have a diesel 115 now which I love. Only paid $150 for it.
I wouldn't pay more than $300 or so for the 215 cab. The guy in this CL ad is out of his mind.

I must be the only one to find this cab more "average". I had the RR 800 watt version which I used for a couple of years with a 400+ and it always seemed voiced a little too much with an emphasis on the upper mids for me. Great for full on loud rock but not so versatile for other styles I thought. Of course IMO/IME.

Yeah...I'd agree with that. I like lots of mids though! Awesome for rock and has a nice audible quality on stage.

But I have a Road Ready Boogie 2x18, all 107 kilos of it. I tend to use it only for outdoor gigs to add in the bottom end robbed from my diesel 2x15 by being outdoor.

Agree with an earlier remark, the diesel 2x15 (with EV's) is the best cab design ever IMO.

I agree with that observation when pairing this w/ Ampeg heads. The tone of that pairing can get really honky. But paired with a Traynor YBA-3 or a Mesa 400+? This cab is heaven! I still prefer the SVT/810 thing for what I do though.

I agree as well.

I ended up returning the one I bought from GC.

Had a couple, sold them eventually, but still believe it to be one of, if not the, best cabs for 4 string rock n roll. When I added the 5 string, and decided to tune it to low A, they didn't handle it very well so I had to get something else. Belongs in the Bass Cab hall of Fame, modern cabs may have better freq response and stats, but - maybe because of the limitations - hard to beat for rock music even today. I agree with most of the comment sregarding versatility, etc... but if you don't need that, super cabs.
